Mind Shops in Cheriton & Hythe
We have two wonderful shops operating in Cheriton & Hythe offering a wide range of preloved clothing and household items for sale.
Our Cheriton shop is managed by Georgia and our Hythe shop is managed by Kerry.
If you have any items that you could donate to our shops it would help us to restock and raise funds to continue to deliver our services to the people of Folkestone, Hythe, Dover, Deal, and Romney Marsh.
We are always on the lookout for clothes, jewellery, toys, shoes, bags, books, CDs & DVDs, and much more!
Alongside raising money, our shops also provide opportunities for volunteering from our fantastic public volunteers and people with mental health problems who have used our services and are now looking to contribute, to give something back, and to help build confidence and employability.
Are you having a spring clean? please think of us at Folkestone & District Mind as our stock levels are getting low.
We require the following:
- Bric a Brac
We also recycle unsellable clothing, books and CDs/DVDs. Any items we are unable to sell go to the local jumble (organised by Zoe) who raised over £1000 for Headway and Mind this month!
We also need carrier bags if you have any spare.
“Volunteering is a way of giving back something for the help I have had. I kept coming when I was unwell as it gave me a sense of order to my day and stopped me from being alone.”

Volunteer in our shops
We are always on the look-out for volunteers to help us run our shops. If you are interested in volunteering in our charity shops in Cheriton or Hythe, then please speak to one of the members of staff in each shop, or contact the main office
Volunteer to fundraise
Giving up your time to help us fundraise is one of the areas that your time can make the greatest impact. We need volunteers to help us organise sponsored events, charity collections at supermarkets and in the town centres, and to help us reach out to the local community.
